In his career, YG has had some massive hit records. Even in his early, early, days YG had “Toot It and Boot It,” with Ty Dolla $ign. At the time, YG and Ty Dolla $ign were unknown, but that would soon change. In 2013, YG and Ty Dolla $ign were major label artists, but on different labels. The two had some breakout hit singles. Summer 2013 saw YG deliver “My Hitta” and winter 2013 saw Ty Dolla $ign deliver “Paranoid.”

YG has since moved into his own 400 label situation. There, YG has worked with a wide range of artists, moving on from his original local label. When Nipsey Hussle died, YG was close to him, and he took his death very hard. Longevity has proven to keep YG here, as he’s been going hard for nine years since his breakout hit. While others have had bigger hits, YG has stayed, as they’ve come and gone.

Last year, YG released Kommunity Control with Mozzy. Since then, YG hasn’t put much music out, aside from some singles. This week, YG launched a huge rollout for his single, “Scared Money,” with J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo. While he hasn’t announced a project, yet, something has to be on the horizon, given that he’s returned with the music video.
