Vado appeared to be the most-promising rapper in the game, ten years ago. Co-signed by Cam’ron, Vado brought him out of semi-retirement. At the time, Cam’ron was only making music to cast a bigger spotlight on him. Soon, there was a partnership with Interscope Records, all to ensure Vado was brought to their roster.

However, within two years, Dave East was the rapper everybody wanted to sign. Even Vado smoothed the way for Dave East, who showed a lot of promise. He delivered big tracks with both Chris Brown and Rick Ross. Soon, Dave had a co-sign from Nas, which led to him signing him to his newly-launched Mass Appeal label. Not much later, Dave East would also sign with Def Jam.

When speaking of NYC rappers with potential, Lloyd Banks tops this list. As a member of G-Unit, naturally Banks was in 50 Cent’s shadow, but he quickly proved himself to be the top lyricist in the crew. Also, he wasted no time dropping hit singles, but 50 often derided him over his work ethic. Aside from that, the constant beefs likely hindered Banks’ growth, but now he is under his own deal.

To end 2021 and to launch 2022, Vado linked with Dave East and Lloyd Banks. Already, their song “Respect The Jux” was out, and Vado worked on a movie with the same name. But, the trio has now returned with the official music video for the single.
