Last fall, Hip Hop Vibe made a major splash on the Los Angeles hip hop scene when the homie, DJ Kid Fresh, joined the team. Most already knew DJ Kid Fresh for his appearance on “106 & Park,” his club nights at Secret Sundayz, and his work with all the biggest LA artists. Cali Swag Distict is included in this list.
In 2010, Cali Swag District shot to fame with their “Teach Me How To Dougie” single that became a major hit. The following year, Cali Swag District was dealt a major blow when their member, M-Bone, died after being shot. When DJ Kid Fresh talked to the crew, they were talking about life after him and working with Tiffany Foxx and Problem.
Earlier this summer, Cali Swag District was dealt another blow when Jayare died from complications of Sickle Cell Anemia. But, back in October 2013, when they talked to their, and our, homie, DJ Kid Fresh, they were optimistic about the future. They had a lot of music in the works that all went viral online.
