Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
Back in June, Hip Hop Vibe did a #ThrowbackThursday dedicated to the homie up there in the Tri-State, DJ Louie Styles. There is a lot more planned with the whole staff, but Hip Hop Vibe decided to revisit this. #ThrowbackThursday is big on social media, so we decided to revisit Hip Hop Vibe history.
Last year, Hip Hop Vibe started heavy with the on camera interviews and Astro was one of the first people to talk with us. At the time, he was working on his street album, Starvin Like Marvin For A LL Cool J Song. The album was a success and he ended up talking to Hip Hop Vibe.
The interview was a big success, as Astro spoke about how he was feeling at the time, with so much going on. His borough, Brooklyn, was spotlighted on MTV, as Barclays Center hosted the VMAs. Astro spoke on both this and Simon Cowell, as he met up with us at Barclays Center.
