In hip hop, all eyes are on North Carolina, especially during this weekend. The Dreamville Festival is taking place today and tomorrow in Raleigh. This is the music festival J. Cole puts on every year and this year is the biggest one yet. Meanwhile, SunnyMagix is an up-and-comer from North Carolina that’s forcing people to pay attention to him.
SunnyMagix represents the city of Rockingham, a city that’s an hour and a half outside of Charlotte. Fans of racing know a lot about Rockingham. The city is known for the Rockingham Speedway. Many of the biggest names in auto racing frequent Rockingham. So the city of Rockingham having a rap scene is news to a lot of people. Above all else, SunnyMagix is working to make sure that he is the one who breaks that news.
Already, SunnyMagix has his album, Trap Baby, that’s out and doing numbers. SunnyMagix released his single, “Pain In The Streets,” a little over a week ago. As SunnyMagix is building that momentum, he dropped the music video for the single. SunnyMagix says this album is the one that will shed light on who he is and where he represents.
