Stephen Curry wins Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP Award

The route Stephen Curry took to NBA superstardom was the atypical one. As the son of an NBA player, Steph Curry defied the odds. Rarely does the son of an NBA player become a superstar. Through the first five years of his career, Stephen Curry didn’t look like he’d be a superstar. His Golden State Warriors were only a fringe playoff team. Meanwhile, with Steph, his ankle injuries hindered him from reaching his full potential.

In 2014, Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to 51 wins. Along with this, they nearly upset the Los Angeles Clippers, in the first round. Their Game 7 wasn’t supposed to happen, and the game was close. This would be the Warriors’ last first round playoff loss for many years. Starting in 2015, the Warriors would play in five consecutive NBA Finals. Stephen Curry led the Warriors to 67, 73, 67, 57, and 58 win seasons, during those runs. Along the way, Curry won two league MVP awards.

Stephen Curry came into Cleveland, where he got booed. He played the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, where he was a man on a mission. In the end, Stephen Curry scored 50 points during the All-Star Game. He was only three points short of the record. Still, for his efforts, Stephen Curry won the first ever Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP award.
