Steph Curry hits his 3,000th 3-pointer | Nuggets at Warriors [VIDEO]

Steph Curry hits his 3000th 3-pointer

Stephen Curry came into the 2020-2021 season focused on regaining his crown. After the injury-plagued 2019-2020 season, the Warriors bottomed out. The NBA’s worst team, on paper, Curry began balling insane last season. His individual play made him worthy of his third MVP award. As far as wins go, Steph made the Warriors contenders again, finishing eighth in the West.

However, the Warriors’ eighth finish put them in the play-in tournament. In the play-in, the Warriors lost to the Lakers, meaning they missed out on the seventh seed. Then, they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, missing out on the eighth seed. With that, the Warriors have missed the playoffs for two straight seasons, but they won’t miss, this year.

Actually, the Western Conference has a strong chance of having their champion make the Finals, a year after not making the playoffs the year prior. In 2020, the Lakers went to the Finals, winning the title over Miami, after missing the 2019 playoffs. Last season, the Phoenix Suns played in the Finals, losing to Milwaukee, after missing the 2020 playoffs.

Last night, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Denver Nuggets, another contender that’s struggled this season. With Draymond Green out, Twitter dragged Steph Curry, saying he can’t win without him. The Nuggets got off to a strong start, against the Warriors, building a big lead. In the end, Golden State made it close, but they still lost. In this game, though, Steph Curry hit his 3,000th career 3-pointer.
