While many people may debate the position Saweetie holds, as an artist in the rap game, she leads the way with endorsements. All of her music does major streaming numbers. Last year, Saweetie made a huge impact with her McDonald’s meal. Now, she has returned with a partnership with Champion Sportswear.

The iconic Champion Sportswear brand is over 100 years old. During the 1990s, Champion rose to prominence at a time when Nike and FILA led the way. That period of time also saw Adidas and Reebok dominate. Most know how all of that turned out.

Sportswear brands used to only reserve partnerships for athletes. In 2003, Reebok took the risk on artists, giving lines of shoes to Jay-Z and 50 Cent. Obviously, there is the partnership between Adidas and Yeezy, which has generated billions. Over the weekend, Saweetie announced she has a partnership with Champion Sportswear coming. This evening, Saweetie has debuted the first commercial from this new venture.

Champion and Saweetie are teaming up to give women the stage by spotlighting the “Champion Circle,” a group of 12 diverse, female collegiate athletes and giving them the “Get it Girl” confidence to play by their own rules and look good doing it.
