Russell Westbrook gets trolled every time he takes a shot
Through his career, Russell Westbrook has been the player that people love to hate. He rose to fame as the superstar point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Westbrook became known as Kevin Durant’s right-hand man, as the Thunder quickly rose the ranks of the NBA. Not the NBA’s newest franchise, the Thunder are the league’s newest team.
Russell Westbrook had some successful seasons, with the Thunder. But, the team peaked, in 2012, when they went to the NBA Finals, their first in team history, and lost to the Miami Heat. From that point on, the Thunder had a gradual decline. This decline advanced, when Kevin Durant signed with the Golden State Warriors, and the era was over, when Westbrook was traded to the Houston Rockets.
Since 2019, Russell Westbrook has been a journeyman, but LeBron James recruited him to join his new-look Lakers. Thus far, the team has disappointed, sputtering to a 21-21 record, and holding the eighth spot, in the West. Among other issues have been Westbrook’s shooting slump. When the Lakers visited the Kings, Westbrook was trolled, as the DJ played “Cold As Ice” every time he touched the ball.
