Rotimi releases video for Weapon featuring Fireboy DML
Though Rotimi is a singer, he is best-known to the world as ‘Dre’ from “Power.” In his five years on the show, Rotimi became the most hated character. That’s a sign of being a good actor if a character can truly be hated. After all, that was the purpose Rotimi served with ‘Dre.’ Every year, fans wanted him off the show, and he almost made it out alive. However, Rotimi’s character met his fate in the final episode.
Rotimi, meanwhile, immediately booked more acting gigs. But, the biggest thing to happen to Rotimi was an increased interest in his music. Having access to such a large platform made Rotimi a household name. Add to that, Rotimi actually makes good music. Whereas a lot of singers would just make the transition to acting, Rotimi is successfully doing both. This week, he dropped new music.
Recently, Rotimi returned with “Weapon,” his newest single. Rotimi dropped the video for this single, a week ago. Since then, Rotimi has offered more new music to the masses. His single, “Weapon,” features an appearance from Fireboy DML. Likely, Rotimi is working on a new project.
