Ricky Rubio helped off the court after knee injury vs Pelicans
Ricky Rubio left the Minnesota Timberwolves, for a second time, this year. He is in his first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Reunited with Kevin Love, the Cavs are playing their best basketball since 2018. That was LeBron James’ final year with the team, when he led the Cavs to the NBA Finals, where they were swept by the Golden State Warriors.
This season, the Cavaliers were expected to be a good team. However, they have exceeded expectations, and have been the third-best team in the East. Collin Sexton joined the Cavs the same summer that LeBron left the team. Sexton and company have now formed a good team that is now beginning to contend.
Last night, the Cavs hoped to continue their dominance, against the Pelicans. Instead, New Orleans pulled out a 108-104 win, over the Cavaliers. During this win, Ricky Rubio ended up injuring his knee. His teammates united to help him off the court, as he then went to get checked out. Currently, Rubio is on the injured list.
