For the past three years, former NBA player, Kendrick Perkins, and Quavo, haven’t been feeling each other at all. This dates back to Quavo randomly dissing Perkins on the song “F*ck 12,” from Quavo’s “Quavo Huncho” album. The lyrics aimed at Perkins were “Get no playin’ time, Kendrick Perkins.”
Perkins and Quavo have been firing shots on Twitter over the past week and now, the two just went on ESPN “First Take” to discuss everything. Perkins acknowledged that he didn’t get playing time in his 13th year but, he still found Quavo’s comments to be disrespectful.
Perkins ended up pulling receipts for games that he stepped up in, such as vs Quavo’s hometown Atlanta Hawks in Game 7 of the 2008 first round and the Eastern Conference Finals vs the Detroit Pistons. Quavo tried to site Perkins being injured, but that didn’t affect Perkins.
In the end though, Perkins and Quavo squashed their beef. Quavo said during the show “All jokes aside, it ain’t never no beef with Big Perk. It’s all love. It was just a bar.” Quavo did jokingly add that he’d make a song for Perkins’ kids though, because they supposedly like the F*ck 12 song.
Quavo and Migos also have their “Culture III” album dropping this Friday. This project is led by the “Avalanche” and “Straightenin” singles. Appearances included Drake, Cardi B, and more.
