Power Book II Ghost Season 2 Episode 8 Preview
Last week, Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr.) got out of jail, on bail, courtesy of Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate). This came as a complete shock to Carrie Milgram (Melanie Liburd). Still, because Cane (Woody McClain) set him up, Tariq is facing prison for two murders, including one of a cop. Fighting his legal case, Tariq enlisted Davis MacLean (Method Man), but with Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) working exclusively with Lorenzo (Berto Colon), he has no revenue source.
With his back against the wall, Tariq was forced to be honest. He finally told Brayden (Gianni Paolo) the extent of his situation, after an argument over Cane. During this time, Effie (Alix Lapri) came back into the picture, promising to help Tariq with whatever he needed. Aside from this, Tariq had to deal with Yas testifying at his murder trial, until he ended. On top of that, he and Lauren (Paige Hurd) have broken up, and he slept with Diana (LaToya Tonodeo).
Ahead of episode eight, of season two, Courtney Kemp teased a big episode. She also said one character will not come out of this episode alive. Entering this week’s episode, Tariq has to pay Davis to fight his case, so he and Cane have teamed back up. Mecca has met Lorenzo, agreed to work exclusively with him, and introduced himself to Zeke (Daniel Bellomy). This has created problems for Monet (Mary J. Blige), who lied to Zeke, when he asked her about him. Meanwhile, Diana is close to figuring her secret out.
