PJ Washington and Justin Champagnie get into fight and get ejected
When he made his Charlotte Hornets debut, PJ Washington had a memorable game. Unfortunately, the Hornets’ season wouldn’t go as well as the first game. While the Hornets were struggling, the Raptors were on their way to their first NBA championship. The youngest franchise to win a title, the Raptors did so in stunning fashion, upsetting the Golden State Warriors.
Despite winning the championship, the Raptors ended up in rebuilding mode the next season. After trading DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard, Leonard led Toronto to their first NBA title. Then, a month later, he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. Gradually, the Toronto Raptors began to decline, and are now outside of the East’s playoff bubble, and below .500.
Tonight, the Raptors managed to get a huge win over a good Charlotte Hornets team. The Hornets are fresh off a blowout home loss to the Hawks, so they had something to prove. This showed itself, when PJ Washington got locked up with Justin Champagnie. Tensions rose, but the two were broken up, and they got ejected from the game.
