Peezy pays homage to Friday with Big Worm video
There are a few rappers with “Peezy” in their name. But, the one from Detroit is named Peezy. Every day that Peezy is able to create music, he is thankful. A few years ago, people thought Peezy got killed. It was almost four years ago, to the day, that Peezy was shot. When he was able to respond, Peezy thanked the people for their support and prayers.
Peezy is emerging at a time when Detroit hip hop is taking over the nation. Since the 1990s, Detroit rappers have had mainstream success. But, the 2010s is when Detroit rappers began really making noise. Lately, a solid percentage of the rising rappers hail from Detroit. Among those in the mix is Peezy and he’s making his presence felt.
Last week, Peezy came back with new music, his first of the year. Like most people in the game, Peezy was inspired by Friday. Paying homage to Faizon Love, Peezy named his single “Big Worm.” The video goes onto honor the whole Friday film. Peezy pulled up in the ice cream truck, just to make the cycle complete.
