There’s nothing that can be taken away from the DMV scene. On top of there being many talented artists, there, a good number of them are right on the verge of becoming big names. Included is Max Prez, who has been putting in work.
Max Prez has several records that have received strong success, online. Plus, in the streets, he has amassed a big following, with an expanding fan base. As he is working, Max Prez is gaining the attention of many major players.
Recently, Max Prez did an On The Rise interview, with Hip-HopVibe.com, where he discussed his work. The buzzing rapper has a lot of music in store for the summer. What he already has out is just the sampler, of what is coming soon.

What do you feel you have to do in order to be the next breakout artist, from the DMV area? Continue to gain exposure through various platforms. I believe in myself and my content. People need to see and hear from you in 2018. Connecting with people in and outside of music is more important than ever.
Have you had success building your fan base? I appreciate all of my supporters. I have had success building a buzz and creating moments. I believe you must know who your fan base truly is before you can begin building. Now that I have figured that out it’s time.
Can you tell us about your new project that you have coming up? My creative process on this project was the most extreme experience I have had making music thus far. The energy that moved upon myself was unlike anything before. I cried after making each record. I stripped a lot of things out of my life in order to create. I wanted to be pure and clean mentally and spiritually. It was more about the feel and content than it is was the lyrics. I took time to find myself.
How does “Inner G” best reflect the project that you have in store? The meaning of “Inner G” is a direct reflection of this entire project. It’s like a branding statement for the complete body of work.
Is there another single coming before your project release? Yes, we have one more single dropping before the release of the project, entitled “Queenz.” This record excites me because I know the feeling it gave me after I recorded it and listened back. Its an anthem for sure.
What is the inspiration behind the project? This project was inspired by life and the duality life brings. It’s about being in tune with ones self internally. Creating the life you want by knowing how everything around and within you works to aid that process.
