Neither Quavo And Saweetie Will Face Charges for 2020 Elevator Altercation Incident in Los Angeles; The Two Never Had To Meet With Police

Quavo and Saweetie had a very public breakup on Twitter in mid-March. Saweetie initially broke the news as she revealed that she had been feeling hurt and betrayed and even cheated on. Quavo tried to defend himself by claiming how Saweetie wasn’t the woman he thought she was.

Footage ended up leaking at the end of that month of Saweetie and Quavo getting into a physical altercation in an elevator from 2020. This was at Saweetie’s apartment complex in Los Angeles as the two were seen struggling over what seemed to be a game console box. Saweetie ended up falling in the elevator after lunging at Quavo and was down for a few minutes. Soon, she got up, walked past Quavo, and left.

There were some speculation that Quavo and Saweetie could face charges for this incident but that will not be the case, according to TMZ. The L.A. City Attorney’s Office got together and ultimately decided that charges weren’t needed here. Footage shown shows that there was “no likelihood of a conviction for either party.” Saweetie and Quavo never ended up meeting with police either.

“We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from,” said Quavo to TMZ at the time of the footage’s release. “I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.”

Saweetie also told TMZ that she and Quavo moved on past that incident at the time. Despite that, there were still too many hurdles to repair their relationship.
