Montrezl Harrell steps into Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry’s conversation
To say the Charlotte Hornets are struggling is an understatement. At the trade deadline, they brought Montrezl Harrell in from the Washington Wizards. While Harrell, a North Carolina native, has been an energy boost, it’s not showing up in the win/loss column. Early this season, the Charlotte Hornets were playing like contenders. This season, the Hornets have had impressive wins.
While the Hornets have wins over the Warriors, Nets, Bucks twice, Sixers, Cavaliers, and Celtics, they have struggled against the Miami Heat. Two years ago, Jimmy Butler joined the Heat. In one season, he took them from being outside of the playoffs to two wins from the title. In the East, almost every team has had a claim to the top spot, the Hornets included, but Miami owns that spot now.
It looked like the Hornets were going to end their losing streak against the Heat. Instead, the Heat came back from fourteen down to win in double overtime. Montrezl Harrell still brought the energy, though. In the game, Jimmy Butler called Kyle Lowry to the side to run a play. Harrell hilariously stepped into that conversation to hear the planned play.
