This season, the Charlotte Hornets have been more competitive than usual. Last season, the Hornets played well, and they made the Play-In Tournament. Despite losing in a blowout, to the Indiana Pacers, the future looked bright for the Hornets. Early this season, the Hornets looked like contenders. They went 3-0, beating the Nets in Brooklyn, highlighted by Miles Bridges’ 360 dunk.
The Hornets have impressed, this season, with wins over the Nets, Warriors, Bucks twice, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Had it not been for a clutch Giannis shot, the Hornets would be 3-0 vs Milwaukee, the defending champions. Early in the season, Miles Bridges was the Hornets’ leader in almost every important stat. He was looking like the next franchise player.
Still, Miles Bridges is considered to be the leading contender for the NBA’s Most Improved Player. The folks on “NBA Today” also agreed that Bridges should be the MIP.
