Marques Houston returns with Just To Have You video

In 2019, Marques Houston was well on his way to a comeback. By the mid-2000s, Marques Houston had risen to become one of the biggest names in R&B. On top of that, Marques Houston was also the star of his own sitcom. The rug was pulled from under MH, when his show was cancelled as a result of a network merger. Soon, Marques Houston found himself on the outside looking in with his record label, after his album sales didn’t meet expectations.

Marques Houston was an afterthought after 2010 and a whole new era of music and culture came. The shift in music and culture is exactly what opened the door for Marques Houston to return. VH1 found success with the “Love & Hip Hop” franchise. Particularly, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” helped return former music stars to prominence. On “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,” Omarion, Ray J, and Lil Fizz returned to the spotlight. In 2019, Marques Houston returned to the show and he and Ray J put an end to their beef, which many were unaware existed.

“Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” was getting exciting, but 2019 ended up being its last season. The pandemic changed things and “Love & Hip Hop” has mainly come back via “Love & Hip Hop Family Reunion.” Marques Houston rolled out his comeback, anyway, dropping his new album, Me, last week, and also returning with his “Just To Have You” single and music video.
