Few players have faced the level of criticism LeBron James has. The media picked LeBron James, calling him “The Chosen One,” before he ever even played high school basketball. With so much hype surrounding him, LeBron James was the first overall draft pick. When LeBron James didn’t make the Cleveland Cavaliers immediate contenders, criticism was laid onto him. Often compared to Jordan, when LeBron lost in the 2007 Finals, he had more criticism.

In 2010, LeBron James gave people a reason to turn on him. His decision to play for the Miami Heat led to LeBron James facing much scrutiny. Many people overlooked that LeBron James had every right to play for whatever team he wanted to play for. LeBron James is one of the first NBA superstars to exercise his options to play for various teams. This led to LeBron playing for the Cavaliers twice, the Miami Heat, and now playing for the Lakers.

After winning the 2016 championship, LeBron James is forever loved in Cleveland. This past weekend, LeBron James returned to Cleveland for the All-Star Game. Coming back home, LeBron was determined to put on a show. While Steph Curry dropped 50 points, LeBron James closed it out. He made the game winning shot to bring Team LeBron to 5-0, at the All-Star Game.
