Kyle Kuzma tried to end Joel Embiid with this dunk
This afternoon, the NBA games were early, due to MLK Day. Among the games were the Philadelphia 76ers ad the Washington Wizards. The Sixers paid the Wizards a visit and this was a game between two rivals, a potential playoff preview. This year, the Wizards have played their best basketball, since 2018. Last year, they made the play-in, and went into the playoffs, where they lost in the first round to the Sixers.
Last season, Russell Westbrook was a part of the Wizards’ core that went to the playoffs. During the offseason, Westbrook was traded to the Lakers for Kyle Kuzma. Since joining the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma has become the best player on the team. An NBA champion, Kuzma has the experience that the rest of the team lacks, including Bradley Beal. Still relatively young, Kyle Kuzma is gaining confidence, leading the Wizards to their first winning record, in four years.
In four years, the Philadelphia 76ers have become one of the best teams in the East. Last year, the Sixers were the top team in the East. This season, the Bulls, Nets, Heat, and Bucks have locked in the top four spots in the East. Meanwhile, the Wizards are making noise, knocking off the Sixers, this afternoon. Their blowout win was highlighted by the dunk Kyle Kuzma had on Joel Embiid.
