It’s always interesting to look at the other teams, when one team is building a dynasty. During the later years of the Miami Heat “Big 3,” the Golden State Warriors were making themselves known. Actually, the young Warriors put themselves on the map when they beat the historic 2013 Miami Heat team. The following season, the Warriors kept getting better. Drake named Steph Curry in his “0 to 100” single and it’s been up from there.

From 2014 to 2019, the Golden State Warriors were among the NBA’s best teams. Actually, from 2014-2017, the Warriors had the NBA’s best record each season. Those years saw the Warriors win 67, 73, and 67 games. The 73 win season set the record for the most wins in an NBA season. Fans and critics, alike, blame the Warriors’ determination to win 73 games for their upset in the 2016 NBA Finals. However, Draymond Green blames himself, and nothing else.

While the Golden State Warriors were making history, the Milwaukee Bucks were trying to figure things out. Drafted in 2013, Giannis Antetokounmpo established himself as the leader of the Bucks in 2016. By 2019, Giannis was MVP and the Bucks owned the NBA’s best record, but they missed the NBA Finals by two games. After holding the best record, again, Giannis won another MVP, but got upset by Jimmy Butler’s Heat, watching them play for the title. Last season, he wasn’t denied, and he got his ring.

However, last night was a potential NBA Finals preview. Giannis did his part, but so did the Warriors. He dunked on Klay Thompson and sparked seven straight points from him.
