Klay Thompson gets mad and throws his headband into the stands
Last night, the Golden State Warriors took all they could handle from the San Antonio Spurs. Over the years, the Warriors have grown accustomed to trailing for most of their games. Normally, late in the third quarter, one of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green gets hot. This results in a blowout win for the Warriors. When they hosted the San Antonio Spurs, last night, that didn’t happen. Instead, the Spurs got the rare road win against the Warriors.
Klay Thompson has gone through many struggles, over the past three years. During the 2019 NBA Finals, Thompson got injured and when he neared his healing, Thompson got injured again. Fittingly, Klay Thompson finally returned in 2022, playing the Cleveland Cavaliers. Just like old times, the Warriors got their win over the Cavaliers. Typically, when the Warriors would be on their way to play those Cleveland Cavaliers, fans anticipated them playing the Spurs first.
The Warriors only faced the Spurs once, during their Finals runs. Nowadays, the Spurs are not the team they were back then. What the Spurs are is a young energetic team that is growing and learning. In their last game, they frustrated the Warriors. Golden State definitely learned from them and Klay Thompson got frustrated with them. At one point, Klay Thompson got mad and tossed his headband into the stands.
