Early this season, the Golden State Warriors looked like the NBA’s best team. After a year together, Stephen Curry found chemistry with the younger players. The strong play from the Warriors earned them comparisons to the 2015 championship team. This young, veteran, team looked like contenders, especially after beating the Phoenix Suns twice. But then Draymond Green went down and, after a nine game win streak, things eventually slowed down for them.

Klay Thompson returning gave the Warriors a quick boost. However, the Warriors were unable to sustain the momentum. It didn’t take long before the Warriors lost the first seed to the Suns. As the games went on, they lost the second seed to the Grizzlies. While the Warriors are comfortable now, there’s a chance that the Utah Jazz could take the third seed from them. Some have questioned if the Warriors haven’t positioned themselves to avoid potentially playing the Lakers, if they should make the playoffs.

Last night, the Golden State Warriors had a winnable game against the Orlando Magic. Despite the game being in Orlando, the Warriors were favored to win. Like so many of the Warriors’ games, lately, they have gone down the stretch with weaker teams. At the end of the game, Klay Thompson fouled Franz Wagner. Shooting a 3 pointer, Wagner was going to miss it, but Thompson fouled him, giving him three free throws, which gave the Magic the win.
