In the rap game, King Von was one of the most promising rising stars. King Von took over the rap game when the world was locked down. OTF’s superstar, King Von was living up to his name. While King Von took over rap, Lil Durk was now the label executive. However, King Von’s career would face an untimely end.
King Von died towards the end of 2020. Losing Kin Von was hard for everyone. Lil Durk refocused on his music, though. What happened with King Von was painful, but he lives on in Lil Durk’s music. In 2021, Lil Durk was the most streamed rapper in the game, aside from Drake. Clearly, King Von’s legacy had an impact on that achievement.
Even after death, King Von lives on, as his estate and his team keep new music out. Recently, King Von’s team decided to return with a new album. King Von’s estate dropped “Too Real” as the single from the album and they released the music video. “Too Real” is included on King Von’s new album, What It Means To Be King.
