Last night, LeBron James showed that he still had it. With age creeping up, LeBron James doesn’t have the same ability to carry a team for a season. However, he’s still LeBron James, he can carry a team for at least one game. Especially when LeBron James is motivated, he can put on a memorable performance. In his return to Cleveland, LeBron James was determined to put on a show. This was especially true, seeing how the Cavs are a good team without him for the first time in twenty five years.
LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the best seasons in their franchise history. During his first seven years, LeBron James took the Cavs to the 2007 NBA Finals. Two seasons later, LeBron James led the Cavs to a 66-16 record. That first run saw the Cleveland Cavaliers have rivalries with the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics. Upon LeBron’s return to Cleveland, he led the Cavaliers to their first NBA championship. This run saw the Cavs have rivalries with the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.
The second LeBron James run was the special one. That time span saw Kevin Love as the third member of the Cleveland “Big 3.” Because of how close they were, LeBron James made sure to humiliate him with a poster dunk on him. The closeness of their relationship led to Kevin Love confronting LeBron James over the dunk. Kevin Love ran over to LeBron James, grabbed him, and he put him into a playful headlock.
