James Harden and Joel Embiid get booed by the Sixers’ fans after getting blown out at home by the Nets | Nets at Sixers [VIDEO]

James Harden and Joel Embiid booed after home loss to Nets

If there was any indicator of this, it was Kevin Durant refusing to pick James Harden during the NBA All-Star Game. After some laughs, James Harden was picked last, when LeBron James chose him. The NBA on TNT crew laughed about this, too. They asked Kevin Durant if it was too soon, in reference to James Harden being traded. Instantly, the Philadelphia 76ers were predicted to rise to the top of the standings in the East.

With Ben Simmons refusing to play for the Sixers, this season, Joel Embiid has elevated his game. The Sixers struggled to start the season, but Joel Embiid raised his scoring. Joel Embiid improving his play soon led to the Sixers rising to the third seed in the East. As the season took form, the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers took the top six spots in the East.

Thus far, the James Harden/Joel Embiid partnership has proven successful. With the Nets, people said they would improve when Kevin Durant returned. After a slow start, he and Kyrie Irving found a groove blowing the Hornets out in Charlotte. They carried that momentum into Philadelphia where they got their revenge on James Harden. The game was so bad that James Harden and Joel Embiid got booed towards the end of the game by their home crowd.
