James Harden elbows Chris Paul and gets called for flagrant
The Phoenix Suns are doing what the Brooklyn Nets were supposed to do, this season. Fresh off an NBA Finals appearance, Chris Paul and Devin Booker are motivated to get back. This year, fans expected the Lakers and Clippers to dominate, but got the Suns and Warriors. The East, meanwhile, has been a complete wild card. Each of the Nets, Bulls, Heat, Bucks, and 76ers have held the first seed, this season. A run from the Cavs or Hornets could easily put them in first.
Out West, the Suns are on top, now with a little space over the Warriors. The West is led by those two, the Grizzlies, Jazz, Nuggets, and Mavericks. A few years ago, it was the Houston Rockets and the Warriors. In 2018, James Harden and Chris Paul led the Rockets to a 65-17 record. Finally, the Rockets appeared able to defeat the Warriors. Leading 3-2, in the Western Conference Finals, the Rockets collapsed, and the Warriors won Game 7, in Houston.
Definitely, James Harden and Chris Paul have an accomplished history together. But, they’re rivals now, and Harden made that clear. As he was driving the lane, Harden elbowed CP3, and got a flagrant.
