Isaiah Stewart asks ref to call tech after Rui Hachimura dunks on him
Last night, the Detroit Pistons hosted the Washington Wizards. Aside from playoff runs in 2016 and 2019, the Pistons have been futile. Even in the playoffs, the Pistons have gotten swept in their last three appearances. The last time the Pistons even won a playoff game was Game 4 of the 2008 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Detroit even blew up the core of the team that went to those 2016 and 2019 playoffs.
Officially rebuilding, the Detroit Pistons have a young emerging star in Cade Cunningham. Since the All-Star break, Cade Cunningham has played lights out basketball. The Pistons have only won three of their last ten games, but they have wins over teams contending for playoff spots. Last night, they played an energetic game against the Washington Wizards.
Isaiah Stewart is one of Cade Cunningham’s teammates and he’s making a name for himself. Stewart is a solid player for the Pistons, but Rui Hachimura got the best of him. Rui Hachimura dunked on Isaiah Stewart, putting him on a poster, for sure. After the dunk, the Wizards’ entire bench was laughing at Isaiah Stewart. Because of this, Isaiah Stewart asked the refs to call a tech on Hachimura, which they did.
