A long time ago, mixtapes were an innovative way for artists to break into the game. Now, it’s almost what an artist has to do in order to break through. In 2013, Young Thug did his mixtape takeover and caught all of the right people’s attention.
Young Thug has come a long way since doing tapes with Gucci Mane, even though he still primarily releases mixtapes. This formula has worked for him. Co-signed by Birdman, Young Thug found a primary rap rival in Game.
This week, Young Thug was more focused on love than war. He released the “Worth It” music video, which seems dedicated to the special woman in his life. The video was both charming and definitely loaded with sex appeal, so this definitely helped in making it the Video of the Week for this week.
