This week, there was only one rising artist that people have been talking about in hip hop. Hailing from Pittsburgh, Jimmy Wopo has the attention of most fans. Several of his music videos have experienced viral success online.
Jimmy Wopo truly scored a smash with “Elm Street,” as the song has had over 200,000 plays. Released just days ago, the “Elm Street” music video is closing in on 40,000 views. With a quarter of a million views off one song in less than a month, Jimmy Wopo is a force.
Given the success Jimmy Wopo has experienced, it would be irresponsible to not give him a feature. The “Elm Street” music video has done more views than most of the videos that dropped this week from established artists. That is reason enough for “Elm Street” to be the On The Rise Video of the Week, this week, on Hip Hop Vibe.
