Heading into 2018, a name to look out for is G-Baby. This dude has a lot of promise and he has the momentum, right now. For an artist trying to get into the game, that isn’t an easy thing to accomplish, even though it’s highly possible.
G-Baby is making his presence felt by doing him. Often, there is a discussion about what a person has to do to succeed. There is no answer to that question that fits everybody, so the best thing to do is to go into it being “you.”
Recently, G-Baby spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com for an On The Rise interview. Currently experiencing success with his “West Palms” single, he discussed the success of the track, and who he’d want on it. He also spoke on his successes, in 2018.

Are you pleased with the performance of “West Palms,” so far?
Yeah for sure it has opened some major doors for me so far and has became my biggest song to date. It’s literally only been out for about 60 days and we won’t be stopping marketing and pushing it anytime soon.
With your name being G-Baby, were you at all inspired by Hardball?
Hahaha Actually the name was not inspired by the movie but in a way I have took that in with my music, I plan on releasing a project titled “Hardball” as well as make jokes about it all the time.
What is some OG advice you received that has stuck with you, as you continue pursuing your career?
Market your music! I know so many cats that have great music, they put it out and it goes no where or to the same 200 people that have already been following and supporting them for years. I’ve professionally marketed two songs now and have already surpassed many people in my local music scene and surrounding areas, it obviously is the key.
Who is an artist you would want on a “West Palms” remix?
Yung Pinch would be dope, he definitely has the beach vibes down pat. Also, I really think P Lo or Phora would snap on it as well.
When will you be releasing your next project?
Shooting for after the beginning of the year, but you can follow me on social media or subscribe to our YouTube if you wanna stay updated on my drops, I have a couple music videos and single that will be dropping before the release of my first official project. Gotta keep up with the buzz.
As 2018 comes to a close, do you believe you reached the goals you set for yourself, this year?
Definitely, I am excited to see what the next few years have in store.
