Every time the Bucks had something good, they would blow the team up. When the Bucks drafted Giannis, they were a fringe playoff team. However, Giannis’ rookie year saw the Bucks finish 15-67.
Giannis worked his way into a role player position for the Bucks by the 2015 playoffs. After the Bucks missed the 2016 playoffs, Giannis stepped up as the franchise player. In the 2017 playoffs, Giannis earned the nickname “Greek Freak.” During that time, Giannis began showing that he could be one of the NBA’s best players.
Giannis put the NBA on notice in 2019. First, Giannis won the MVP. Secondly, Giannis led the Bucks to the NBA’s best record. Finally, Giannis led the Bucks to the Conference Finals for the first time in eighteen years. In 2021, Giannis led the Bucks to their first title in fifty years.
