Giannis has proven to be an incredible player. During the playoffs, Giannis showed he was the NBA’s best player. The Boston Celtics acknowledged this and challenged Giannis to beat him. After five games, Giannis led the Bucks to a 3-2 series lead. Last year, Giannis led the Milwaukee Bucks to the 2021 NBA championship.

Giannis’ biggest playoff challenge came in the second round of the playoffs. The Bucks took on the heavily favored Brooklyn Nets, in the second round. Falling behind 2-0 and trailing 3-2, Giannis and Khris Middleton led the Bucks to the Game 7 upset. Two months later, Giannis’ Bucks overcame a 2-0 hole against the Phoenix Suns and won the championship.

Giannis lost Khris Middleton, early in the playoffs, and the Celtics did a good job of covering Jrue Holiday. This left Giannis truly alone to take on the Celtics and his huge scoring games were not enough. On the other end, the Celtics have Jayson Tatum who can score just as much. In Game 7, the Bucks imploded, and Giannis ran out of steam. Late, Boston was down 14, and Giannis just laid in his seat on the bench.
