Tonight, via Twitter, the hip hop world received a major shock. “RIP DMX” took over Twitter and many were convinced DMX died. When his Wikipedia page was updated, citing April 8, 2021 as his death, the mourning began.
Luenell, the popular comedian, was revealed to be the source of this news. She took to her IG Story, where she revealed X died. However, Luenell almost immediately removed her Story, but it was viewed by enough people for the story to trend on Twitter.
Steve Rifkind, the music executive best-known for founding Loud Records, is DMX’s manager. To clear the rumors, surrounding DMX’s condition, he shared a video. Rifkind said that DMX is indeed still alive, but that he remains on life support.
