Whatever a person focuses on and works hard on is exactly what they’re going to get. Until 1999, Ludacris was a radio personality in Atlanta, Chris Lova Lova. But, since 2000, he has been known to the world as Ludacris and it all started with the Def Jam reissue of his Incognegro album as Back For The First Time.
Ludacris came into the game organized, with his DTP label in place, while he was the first artist on Def Jam South. A member of DTP was Shawnna and she was Ludacris’ running partner. Together, they appeared on the national lead single, “What’s Your Fantasy,” which was a late summer anthem in 2000.
Recently, Shawnna and Ludacris have had an ongoing beef that reached new heights during the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards. The situation makes for good headlines, but we love good music more at Hip Hop Vibe. So, we decided to go back to the good old days and feature Ludacris and Shawnna’s “What’s Your Fantasy” as the Wednesday Throwback.
