DJ YRS Jerzy’s Wednesday Throwback: Juvenile – “Ha”

Juvenile - HaBy DJ YRS Jerzy

When it’s all said and done when people look back on New Orleans hip hop, they will have to pay Juvenile extra attention. Had it not been for Juvenile, it’s safe to say the world outside of New Orleans would’ve never heard of Cash Money Records. Juvenile was a key component in getting Universal Records’ attention.

Before all of this, Juvenile was an artist and he was waiting for his moment to break into the game. In 1998, Juvenile released his third album and second with Cash Money, 400 Degreez. The album went on to go quintuple platinum, but before this, he released the “Ha” single.

When “Ha” was released, it became one of the biggest singles released in the year of 1998. “Ha” went on to become a hip hop classic and it has become one of the most-acclaimed songs released in the 1990s. This week, “Ha” is the Wednesday Throwback given courtesy of Hip Hop Vibe.
