It’s Wednesday, so Hip Hop Vibe fans already know what time it is. It’s well-known that Hip Hop Vibe has love for the 1990s, but this isn’t the only generation of hip hop, it goes back much further. The late 1970s and early 1980s was when hip hop was born, thanks to guys like Grandmaster Caz.

A few weeks ago, Hip Hop Vibe talked to Grandmaster Caz about the evolution of hip hop. The Cold Crush Brothers are vital to hip hop and there will always be an audience for them. With this, there will always be an audience for Grandmaster Caz, just as there was in 1983.

Grandmaster Caz played a big role in the Wild Style movie that starred Caz along with the other Cold Crush members, along with many more. An all-star hip hop cast, they provided music along with acting roles. This week, the decision was made to change things up a little bit and take it back to the “South Bronx Subway Rap” freestyle Grandmaster Caz had that appeared on the movie.
