Over the years, fans have all begun to agree that Cam’ron is a legend and they have looked back on his early music. In 1998, Cam’ron made his debut with his Confessions of Fire album. The lead single was “Horse & Carriage,” which featured fellow Harlem emcee, Mase.
History has always been a little complicated between Cam’ron and Mase, but once friends, always friends. Early in his career, Cam’ron turned to Mase for a song that is considered a hip hop classic. Sixteen years later, Cam’ron continues to put out well-received music.
While everybody is getting their fill of that 1st of the Month series, Hip Hop Vibe decided to look back on some earlier Cam’ron hits. “Horse & Carriage” is this week’s Wednesday Throwback. Cameos in the video come from Styles P, Wyclef, N.O.R.E., and Tyson Beckford, among others.
