Boyz n the Hood star Cuba Gooding Jr. has been investigated for allegedly groping a woman at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Manhattan but has since denied any involvement. Gooding maintained his stance on trusting the system and surveillance footage will prove that he did no wrong. He added that all he did at the bar involving fans was take photos with them.
Gooding was supposed to turn himself into the NYPD tomorrow to discuss him being innocent. According to TMZ, his lawyer, Mark Heller, has since reviewed the footage and concluded it shows “absolutely no criminality taking place on the part of my client.” He added that he contacted the Manhattan D.A.’s Office Sex Crimes Unit but didn’t receive a call back.
Heller does not know if the D.A. has seen the footage yet. If they did, he believes that Gooding has no reason to be arrested. As of now, it’s unknown if Gooding will end up turning himself in as planned due to the possibility of the D.A. seeing the footage and knowing that no crime was committed.
