Over the past few days, Hip Hop Vibe has given the hip hop world a glimpse into the talent that fills the Carolinas. The states of North and South Carolina are home to many of the most-beautiful cities and top tour destinations. While the states are known for their tourist attractions, with everything from the beach to the mountains, their hip hop scene has gone overlooked.
There are several artists putting North and South Carolina on the map beyond J. Cole and 9th Wonder and Dee Dray is among them. A Buffalo, New York transplant into Charlotte, North Carolina, the heart of the Carolinas, Dee Dray has made a major impact. Dee Dray has been able to stand out from the rest, due to his focus on lyricism, as opposed to the trap music which is prevalent in both states.
Lyrical, but withholding commercial appeal, Dee Dray has a collaboration with Future under his belt and has shared stages and space with Ace Hood, Wale, J. Cole, Ray J, and many others. With these connections in his arsenal, Dee Dray feels his time is waiting around the corner. Dee Dray is already a viral sensation and is now hoping for the same reaction in the streets.
