After a terrible start to the season, the New Orleans Pelicans are playing well. The Pelicans began the season 1-12 and have struggled without Zion Williamson. Now, the Pelicans are playing great basketball, and have worked their way into the playoff picture. Currently, the Pelicans are competing with the Lakers for the final play-in spot. This season, Brandon Ingram has come into his own as a star player.
Brandon Ingram was actually the second draft pick, in 2016. He was touted as the next major Lakers star, but the team continued to struggle. Each year after that 2016 season, the Lakers got better each year. In a lot of ways, their growth was comparable to the Philadelphia 76ers. When LeBron James joined the team, some felt this was the ultimate coup, while others felt it’d ruin the chemistry.
Ultimately, Brandon Ingram wound up playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans have worked their way into a winning position. Tonight, the New Orleans Pelicans are taking on the Denver Nuggets, in the Mile High City. As the first half was coming to a close, there was a fight for the ball. Brandon Ingram won that battle, and tossed the ball, but made the shot.
