In the mid-2000s, many guards took over the NBA. Already, Baron Davis had a run, as he rose to become the best player on the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets. Later, BD became a journeyman, playing for the Warriors, Clippers, Cavaliers, and Knicks.
Baron Davis became known as one of the toughest point guards to defend. Early in his career, Dwyane Wade said BD was his toughest matchup. This is something many other guards, Gilbert Arenas included, have echoed, as Davis was a tough player.
