Anthony Davis goes down with season ending ankle injury and LeBron James looks on in dismay | Jazz at Lakers [VIDEO]

Anthony Davis injures his ankle and LeBron James looks heartbroken

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been able to catch a break this season. LeBron James is the leader of the team and he has played well. While LeBron is putting up some of the best numbers of his career, his age is starting to show. Coming into the season, the Lakers overhauled their roster, bringing back guys like Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo. Unlike last time, the Lakers are having chemistry issues, as Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis got into a fight, during a game. Meanwhile, Rajon Rondo is already gone.

By bringing back the 2020 championship players, the Lakers were expected to contend. Last season, before Anthony Davis’ injury, the Lakers got off to a 22-7 start. It’s safe to say last season’s roster, if healthy, could have been contending with the Suns, Warriors, Grizzlies, and Jazz at the top of the West. Instead, the Lakers are holding onto the ninth position, and likely to compete in the play-in. Even with Anthony Davis back, the Lakers continued losing.

Last night, the Lakers did exactly what they needed to do. The Utah Jazz were in town and, with Donovan Mitchell back, they have played well, as of late. However, the Lakers were determined to get the win at home. While the Lakers got the win, Anthony Davis went down with an ankle injury. When Anthony Davis went down, LeBron James looked on in complete dismay.
