Andrew Wiggins says his dreams came true with Warriors winning Game 5

Andrew Wiggins has always been indirectly involved with the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty. In 2014, Wiggins was the first overall draft pick. Wiggins was drafted the Cleveland Cavaliers. This was the same year LeBron James left the Miami Heat to return to Cleveland. With LeBron James and Andrew Wiggins playing the same position, a choice had to be made. As a result, Andrew Wiggins was traded to the Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

Andrew Wiggins put up all-star numbers on a perennial losing team. Meanwhile, Kevin Love advanced to the NBA Finals every year, from 2015 through 2018. During this time, Love’s Cavs upset the Golden State Warriors, in 2016, to win the championship. While Kevin Love competed in the Finals, Kevin Love had to wait until 2018 to make the playoffs. In 2020, Andrew Wiggins was traded to the Golden State Warriors, and he came into his own last season.

Andrew Wiggins was forced to take on a bigger role with the Warriors. Through half of the season, the Warriors owned the NBA’s best record. Eventually, the Warriors fell to the third seed. However, with the Phoenix Suns’ collapse, the Warriors have kept home court advantage. Against Memphis, the Warriors gave up home court. Last night, the Warriors finished the Dallas Mavericks, and Andrew Wiggins could be seen celebrating the win.
