Alex Caruso gets knocked out by Jimmy Butler screen | Heat at Bulls [VIDEO]

Alex Caruso gets knocked out by Jimmy Butler screen

Two years ago, Alex Caruso was the most popular role player in the NBA. Alex Caruso was key in the Los Angeles Lakers winning the 2020 NBA title. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were definitely the dynamic duo, but LeBron and Alex Caruso also had a bond. After 2021, the Lakers revamped their roster. Alex Caruso was among the players sacrificed. Austin Reaves was to be Caruso’s replacement. However, it hasn’t worked out that way.

Alex Caruso has found a home with the Chicago Bulls. During the first half of the season, the Bulls played like true contenders. DeMar DeRozan was playing like an MVP and the Bulls had the East’s top record. All the while, the Miami Heat were lurking. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and company took over the East in December and didn’t look back. A recent losing streak saw the Boston Celtics briefly claim the top seed, after starting the year out of the playoff picture.

While Laker fans probably want Alex Caruso back, he fits in well with the Bulls. Early in the season, the Bulls looked like real contenders. When the Bulls looked that way, Alex Caruso was the X factor. Last night, the Miami Heat made the Bulls look like a play-in team. Alex Caruso got the wind knocked out of him, as Dewayne Dedmon put a screen on him for Jimmy Butler. This was a minor play in a 127-109 victory for the Heat.
