Whenever 21 Savage is on Instagram Live, he treats fans to some of his own singing sessions, by showing love to some of his favorite R&B records ever. The latest one went down on Thursday night, where he sung one of Ciara’s classic hits.
This was “Promise,” which Ciara released as a single, back in the fall of 2006. The chorus to the song was playing, as 21 was in his zone, and enjoying singing along to it. Promise was huge 15 years ago, as it peaked at number 11, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is also certified platinum, in the US.
21 has also had a very good past year, as his “Savage Mode 2” album, with Metro Boomin, debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart, in October 2020. Last month, the Atlanta rapper also appeared on Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album, on the “Knife Talk” record, which also included Project Pat. That has since gone gold, in the US.
