The journey 2 Chainz took to rap stardom should be turned into a movie. 2 Chainz is proof that there is great potential in every person. Nothing against 2 Chainz’s Tity Boi era, but 2 Chainz saw more for himself than cameos in Ludacris videos. Becoming a star was his destiny, as Playaz Circle had a massive hit in the form of “Duffle Bag Boy,” featuring Lil Wayne. Four years later, 2 Chainz bought his way off Disturbing Tha Peace and went solo.
2 Chainz partnered with Def Jam and, within a year, had hits out with many major artists. In 2012, 2 Chainz made hits with Drake, Young Jeezy, T.I., Future, Gucci Mane, and many others. Along the way, 2 Chainz helped Mike WiLL Made-It become a household name. During the summer of 2012, 2 Chainz had a huge appearance on Nicki Minaj’s chart-topping single, “Beez In The Trap.” 2 Chainz was the ultimate comeback story and now he’s a rap legend.
With his newest album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, 2 Chainz has paid homage to D4L. 2 Chainz dropped “Neighbors Know My Name” as a D4L tribute. Now, 2 Chainz is shedding light on B.G., who has been behind bars since 2009. He has returned with his single, “Free B.G.,” delivering the music video this week.
