Yvette Gentry, black female police officer, named Louisville Police Department interim police chief, in the wake of the ongoing Breonna Taylor protests [VIDEO]

Yvette Gentry, yesterday, held a press conference, in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was named interim police chief of the Louisville Metro Police Department. Her hiring comes, as the current police chief has retired, in the wake of the Breonna Taylor murder, which took place during his watch. The city has now hired a black woman to run the police department, a move some feel is questionable, but also fitting, for the moment.

Since March, Louisville, Kentucky has been at the center of the current race wars. Louisville is most-prominently joined by Minneapolis, MN and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
